In the course „Typography 1“ I designed this typographic variant of Kafka’s „Verwandlung”. Confusion, humanity and a form of gloom should describe the cover of the well-known narrative. For the layout I decided to use black covers for each chapter, as well as a continuous black background for the page numbers. My main focus laid on good readability as well as a minimalistic, dark look, fitting the plot of the novel.
